The Primary section of the school
covers Key Stage 1 (Prathom 1-2)
and Key Stage 2 (Prathom 3-6).
Amnuay Silpa’s primary section has
a bi-lingual curriculum with the
Thai and English syllabi sharing
the teaching time equally. The
school follows the National
Curriculum for England and Wales
during the lessons taught by the
expatriate teacher, the other half
of the syllabus follows the Thai
National Curriculum. Therefore the
children are taught both the Thai
and English (Language Arts)
languages. Mathematics covers
similar topics with the expatriate
teacher concentrating more on
problem-solving activities, new
mathematical language and
terminology. Theme Studies and
Science may focus on different
topic areas, however, a common set
of enquiry skills are taught.
Our curriculum planning respects
the individual needs of our pupils
and is regularly reviewed and
evaluated to make sure that the
Immersion Programme delivers the
quality of education that the
children deserve. Tasks are
differentiated to not only to
allow access to the less able
pupils but also to extend pupils
of higher ability. Children
receive regular extra support from
in-class teaching assistants and
also through a reading
intervention programme in Prathom
One.
Parents are always welcome to
visit Amnuay Silpa, please make an
appointment through the school
office. Prospective teachers may
contact me by e-mail in order to
set up a visit.
