Greetings to all
our parents, grandparents,
friends, students and visitors
to our syndicate webpage.
Year 7 have been
extremely busy since the last
update of the web pages and as a
teacher, makes one think where
the timer has gone. Once we
reflect on the experiences
gained, knowledge learned and
understood, one has to realise
what a busy year level we are
and the fact is that your
children is growing up very
quickly into young adults in a
fast moving world while
maintaining their proud Thai
culture.
Our webpage has
the following information for
you to read with pleasure your
Childs experiences and learning.
Camp in review

The wheels on the
bus did certainly go round and
round on our first camp. The
students were all set for a fun
fill, education learning, fresh
air breathing camp to the
beautiful province of Chantaburi.
With two
beautiful red shining buses, we
were, along with police escort
whisked out of the hustle and
bustle of Bangkok and soon
headed into he countryside and
finally to the seaside.

The
activities that were planed were both educational and fun.
Activities included the following:
Visiting the:
-
Gulf of Krung
Bay center
-
National Park
Philiu
-
Fireflies
-
Mangrove
reserve visit
-
Aquarium
-
English
Teachers activities where we
learnt Radio procedure by Mr
Wilkinson and played games
with Mr McColl and Mr
Tocknell.
-
Explore the
natural herbs hunting area
-
Plus numerous
other activities to mention.
The camp was fun
and very worth while. Fun was
had by all.

Interviews
Many thanks to
all the parents who attended the
parent interviews. We trust that
the sharing of information and
getting to meet the teaching
staff again allows you to feel
more at ease with what exciting
programme Amnuay Silpa has.

Units of work
. Currently with
Topic we are finishing off a
study about Tudor Times. Then
after the assessment has been
undertaken the students will be
studying "The restless Earth".
This unit will include subjects
such as Earthquake, Volcanoes,
Tsunami and other natural events
of the earths geology.
Language Arts is
currently focusing on
Journalistic writing. This is
allowing the students to gather
information of current affair
issues and write an article of
International, National and
Local news and gain
understanding to the terminology
and features of this style of
writing.
Mathematics is
learning probability.
Please be aware
that some parents have requested
long term plans to see what is
being taught or about to be
taught. You need to appreciate
that these do sometimes change
and due to the nature of the
school, do. I recommend if you
read your long term plan and
note something is coming up and
you maybe of assistance, please
let the homeroom teacher know.
